Beth Israel are a band, possibly a three piece out of Austin (or maybe New York?), who released a self-titled cassette on Dull Tools, a label run by Andrew Savage of Parquet Courts. Those are the few facts. But their mystery doesn't feel like a tiresome marketing tool, thanks in part to this video for “Let Him Down Easy,” a slow-burning, shoe-gazing garage tune. A bearded man shows us a pretty countryside estate and the people in it who tolerate his hijinks. We also get to see the face of the guy recording it. Maybe some fancy city boy record exec has cracked the perfect amount of inscrutability for a band post-The Weeknd. We hope not, because what ever this is doing is working on us.
