Pioneers that they are, Dirty Projectors have somehow managed to make the usually execrable genre of White People Covering Usher‘s “Climax” into something that isn’t sanitized or dull in that offensively entitled way. Perhaps it’s because they’re kind of an R&B band? Performing for the reliably good “Like A Version” on Australia’s Triple J Show, Dave Longstreth and the band belt out the tune impressively, and without a trace of irony, as it so deserves.
