Her D.A.I.S.Y. RAGE EP is out later this month, and Kitty Pryde has just leaked a video for an excerpt of a tune called “Dead Island.” She sounds both more confident and despairing than ever, casting off with a sigh – “Draw your eyebrows on and then talk to me” just after she relishes her time in New York because “there’s so many bridges to jump off of.” The sharp ear for great beats that helped her make her debut so memorable also returns: High school marching band drums lead what sounds like a pitched-up Santigold sample up to a crisp summit of cloud-rap bliss. More than enough to get us stoked for that new EP, out soon.
