After the holidays, we toss out our Christmas trees, our lights, our more embarrassing relatives we only see once a year. But some things can stay, like sleigh bells, especially if they’re used in brooding post-metal songs like “Ghost” from ERAAS (try reading that name without hearing it in your head as a scream). A bunch of hooded figures do culty things over a Radiohead-meets-Dimmu-Borgir pulse, building to a explosive, hell-fire release that never actually arrives. Shake off all that excess tension that’s built up after watching with a jog, or maybe some prayer.
