[video] A full Radiohead concert recorded by fans that’s actually watchable

Once again harnessing the power of the Internet for their music-related machinations, Radiohead has teamed up with their fans to release a recording of their September 29th concert in New York, for free. The band provided audio from the soundboard, and the fans filmed on some not-entirely-potato-quality cameras. The concert recording is dedicated to Scott Johnson, a tour crew member who was tragically killed in Toronto earlier this year.

If you enjoy what you see, the film’s crew suggests a donation to one (or all!) of the following causes: Oxfam’s Haiti Earthquake funds, the Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy relief effort, or Doctors Without Borders. So the next time you can’t see a stage thanks to a blizzard of cell-phones, keep your patience. It might be for a good cause. Though it probably isn’t.
