A glittery-zippered Bobby Womack and Damon Albarn-y Damon Albarn dropped by French TV show C à Vous to perform “Stupid,” in what looks like a weird grad student’s loft. But there’s not a half-baked thesis or vaguely desperate wine-and-cheese shindig in sight; just some passionate soul that bounces sadly along, like a dog that knows it’s dying but still wants to play.
