The day I’m not instantly bewitched by rotoscoping is the day I’ve died inside. I just can’t get enough of the animation technique, especially when it’s employed to such screwy effect in “Hide.” Shapes dip and double in and out like a kaleidoscope on a roller-coaster as Kittin dances with a fire extinguisher and battles some dude with a lampshade on his head. Pretty awe-inspiring visuals for the Kris Menace/Miss Kittin collab, which has that high fashion crackle of Euro electro, with hints of The Knife’s avant-garde influence lingering around the song’s glossy edges.
