Talk about your apt titles. “Intrusions” is a new track taken from the upcoming collaborative LP Instrumental Tourist by Tim Hecker and Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never), and it’s going to get inside your head by the force of it’s art. That’s not to say that you’ll necessarily enjoy the screeching electronic sounds; the pairing of Hecker’s droning harmonies with Lopatin’s bursts of static anarchy isn’t exactly easy listening. But it’s undoubtedly fascinating, rich with ideas without words or even worlds that seek to make us like the driverless car in the video below, barrelling down the highway, totally surrendered to something powerful and driven.
