If your world is a frozen winter hellscape as mine surely is, treat yourself to a few minutes of tropical escapeism provided by Sufjan Stevens and his “Silver & Gold” video. It features the indie god’s young nephew having the most fun ever on a beach, shot on the equally warm fuzz of Super 8 film. If those images don’t make your heart burst, Sufjan’s rapturous acoustic exaltations surely will. Coolest, most quietly tortured uncle ever.
