Amanda Palmer‘s had kind of a rough year, what with that whole crowd-sourcing fiasco, and being a Scientologist. So she’s letting off some steam in “Do It With A Rockstar,” a sweaty, biting clip that takes place at a rowdy concert full of drag queens, sexual escapades, and some briefly self-deprecating but still shoddy hipster satire that I was afraid Portlandia would eventually lead to. It’s co-directed by Wayne Cohen of The Flaming Lips, who makes a brief cameo hanging from the rafters.
