Major Lazer made plans to Free the Universe this fall, and they’re sticking to it with the release of a second video for the Amber Coffman lead single “Get Free.” Although it’s slightly confusing as to why they needed to make another video, this one has a decidedly different tone from the previous cartoon extravaganza. It’s a moving portrait of all walks of life in Jamaica, mostly showing off the sensual night life, while also showing a guy holding a chicken, kids playing soccer, and daggering. Plus, Diplo does some crazy cliff-jumping and Coffman sings into a microphone, so all in all I guess we did need another video.
Free The Universe is out November 6 via Downtown/Mad Decent.
