These days, an album isn’t coming out and/or worth talking about unless there is some sort of viral teaser video involved. Psych-rock Aussies Tame Impala know this, and they’ve joined the proverbial “tease fest” party with their own teaser trailer for the probably titled Lonerism. What have we been teased with?
Well, psychedelia of course. This is apparent from the crazy rainbow colors, kaleidoscope images and spinning cameras of scenic landscapes. Also, new music. A new Tame Impala song blasts in the background, charged with buzzing guitars—it’s good! Finally, a probable title and the only word to pop up in the video—Lonerism, which means the album is for the weirdoes of the world, meaning you and I. You have officially been teased.
Tame Impala’s latest will be out via Modular at some point this year.
