Shlohmo – “The Way U Do”

People love to play dress up. Fantasizing an escape from mundane life, you can pretend you’re a princess from a far away land, a surfer living on a remote island, an accountant for the stars, etc. In the case for Shlohmo’s “The Way U Do,” these models all wish they were birdies, though sultry and seductive birdies that make you slightly uncomfortable with their sexuality.

Accompanying Shlohmo’s cavernous and dark electro, the models slink their way in grey rooms, dressed in feathery black costumes, with black gems and beads draped over their faces. If I didn’t know any better, I would say this is a pretty good advertisement for CW’s upcoming reality show, America’s Next Top Bird Lady (Oh no, what have I done? I’ve created the perfect show idea. I could possibly be a millionaire soon, guys.), which is not only a great idea for a show, but a great way to live one’s life. Anyway…
