itting in the pew of an empty church, Jason Collett keeps circling back to one feeling: gratitude. The carpenter-turned-musician has steadily been playing music for years, both on his own and as a part of Canada’s treasured indie rock collective, Broken Social Scene. It’s been a successful journey, but after over a decade of recording and touring, Collett is still thoughtful, calm, and humble. Along with our discussion, CHARTattack’s cameras caught the singer-songwriter perform two reverberating and beautiful unreleased tracks on acoustic guitar – “I Wanna Rob a Bank” and “Sailor Boy.”
