- Sneaky Dee's

Background/Composition:
Dead Sexy Inc. is guitarist/vocalist Emmanuel H, guitarist Stephane H and drummer Alexy G, an electro-punk-alt act based in Paris, France and Berlin, Germany. They were formed in Los Angeles and are well known for their remixes, but their original music stands up well in a live setting.
Grade: 89
Comment:
At the time of the group's 10 p.m. time slot — still relatively early by CMW standards — the crowd at Sneak's hadn't grown by much. While some bands might have found it difficult to play under the circumstances, Dead Sexy Inc. came out happy and determined to put on a show.
Achievement of Rock 'n' Roll Expectations
80-100: Exceeds skill and knowledge expectations, i.e. rocked us so hard we peed our pants.
70-79: Achieves required skills and knowledge. Meets rock 'n' roll standard.
60-69: Demonstrates some skills. Approaches rock 'n' roll standard.
50-59: Demonstrates some required skills and knowledge in a limited way.
00-50: Has not demonstrated required skills or knowledge.
Learning Skills: E=Excellent, G=Good, S=Satisfactory, N=Sad Really
Oral And Visual Communication:
Eye Contact: E
Pronunciation: G
Stage Presence: E
Stage Banter: G
Image: E
Appearance: E
Use Of Stage: G
Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Steps:
Dead Sexy Inc. looked great on stage — their L.A. roots were showing in both their fashion and performance style. Their inventive clothing was the visual equivalent of their music — loud, fun, and above all, sexy.
Singer Emmanuel H literally got in audience members' faces, picking up his mic stand and bringing it into the crowd to sing nose to nose with those in the front row. Stephane H did the same at another point in the set, bringing his guitar out onto the dance floor to rock out with fans.
Musical Analysis:
Level Of Participation: E
Problem Solving: E
Teamwork: E
Work Habits: E
Organization: E
Audience Participation: G
Sound: E
Composition: E
Songs: G
Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Steps:
Dead Sexy Inc. walked the line between electro and rock. Their experience as performers was obvious — they put on a musically tight show, with enough confidence in their abilities to allow them to move and dance freely. They knew how to work an audience, small as it was.
Other Skills And Areas Of Interest:
Charisma: E
Problem Solving: E
Teamwork: E
Sexiness: E
Haircut: E
Indie Rock Footwear: G
Nods To Disposible Fashion: S
Cool Equipment: G
Level Of Inebriation: E
Actual Ability: E
Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Steps:
Dead Sexy Inc. should continue to glam it up while maintaining their ridiculous sense of humour. Some quotes from the night:
"This is a song for guys who like to wear some women's clothes, and for women who has a mustache!"
"This one is dedicated to those who like to view porn!"
