Bell Orchestre — Who Designs Nature's How

There's a very interesting experiment you should try with the new Bell Orchestre remix EP.
Try playing the original songs with these unique reworkings over top at the same time. You'll end up with a layered lushness that might have been lacking from last year's As Seen Through Windows, the original record. Do it! The results are pretty cool.
That said, this EP is wacky. It's just as noisy as ASTW, but with more space. It's perfectly suited for Tim Hecker's ambient landscapes and the Deadly Stare add a little cave man percussion to the otherwise flat-lining "Air Lines/Land Mines."
Otherwise, the remixers have a hard time navigating the already complex compositions and the "songs" come off as after-thoughts, not stand alone masterpieces. Mix it or skip it.
