Question: what do you do with an aging metal icon, someone who is responsible for transforming the industrial landscape of his youth into some of the heaviest rock music ever conceived? Well, letting him release an album of ill-conceived covers is a bad idea. Singing John Lennon's "Woman," Ozzy seems to be doing a bad impression of himself. On "Sympathy For The Devil," he somehow manages to bite the head off the song's soul. Even a cover of Cream's proto-metal song, "Sunshine Of Your Love," which ostensibly should have worked, is ruined by over-production and silly effects. Avoid this at all costs.
