John Frusciante And Josh Klinghoffer — A Sphere In The Hear Of Silence
- A Sphere In The Hear Of Silence
- Record Collection/Warner
- 3.5 / 5

A Sphere In The Heart Of Silence is definitely the most out there of the five albums John Frusciante has cranked out over the past five months. It's got a lot more white noise, low-end drum machines and bubbling synths, all of which have always been present in his solo work, but not to this degree.
In fact, the opening instrumental, "Sphere," must be an ode to the joys of white noise. Lyrics don't seem to be as much a priority as they have been in the past (unlike his previous records, the lyrics aren't included in the liner notes). Frusciante and long-time collaborator Klinghoffer seem to have been more interested in experimenting with form rather than writing catchy songs filled with dark images.
For those of you keeping track, this one seems to be a hybrid of the last two releases, Automatic Writing and Inside Of Emptiness. We can only imagine how he's going to sum up the whole set on his upcoming final release.
