Bon Jovi — Have A Nice Day

Classic Bon Jovi ballads like "Always" and "I'll Be There For You" were de rigeur when you were a clueless 14 year old mullethead. But you've grown up and matured, unlike Bon Jovi whose music has remained in the same stale and repetitive cycle since 1995's "These Days."
Title track "Have A Nice Day" is just a revamped "Sleep When I'm Dead" or "It's My Life." Power ballad "Bells Of Freedom" is a reformulated "Bed Of Roses." And let's face it, after 20 years, Jon Bon Jovi's voice is starting to wear thin, prohibiting him from reaching those high "Living On A Prayer" notes. Even the CD booklet photos are manipulative, trying to paint the band as rock heroes high on the Hollywood A-list, but this is boring, formulaic pop-rock at its best: sparse on substance, high on gloss.
