Sigur Ros — Takk...
- Takk...
- Geffen/Universal
- 4.5 / 5

It feels weird calling Takk a comeback record for Sigur Ros, but when you follow a universally-acclaimed record with a meandering 80-minute album with no titles and one repeating lyric — let's just say some things are what they are.
It doesn't take long to figure out that the quartet are way more focused. "Glosoli" is on par with anything the band did on Agaetis Byrjun, with Jonsi Birgisson's falsetto vocals soaring over a track that builds into a stunning Mogwai-esque guitar breakdown. From there, the record is like the proper sequel to Agaetis. Songs such as "Hoppipolla" and "Saeglopur" don't really deviate from the formula that made the band successful in the first place and to be honest, that's all Sigur Ros fans want anyway.
If you like the band, you'll find it a hell of a lot more satisfying than ( ) and if you didn't like them before, you're not going to start now. Speaking as a fan, it's just nice that Sigur Ros actually sound like Sigur Ros again.
