Odditorium should be a relief for fans who were turned off by the Duranie silliness of Welcome To The Monkey House. While it hasn't totally shed the misguided artistic whimsy of the previous album (such as the childish throwaway "Did You Make A Song With Otis" and the wanktastic second half of "Love Is The New Feel Awful"), there's plenty of good material on this album. "Smoke It" proves that the band can still do dirty rock 'n' roll hits, while "Everyone Is Totally Insane" and the first half of "Love Is The New Feel Awful" are perfect examples of the kind of laid back stoner rock that made Courtney and crew so cool to begin with. It's not quite a return to the 13 Tales glory days, but it's still nice to have The Dandys back.
