Feeling heartbroken?
Got a relationship going down the shitter?
Don't worry, because Wide Mouth Mason understand you and they want to help. The boys from Saskatoon are back after a three-year absence with a collection of thoroughly pissed-off songs that address these social conundrums. Kicking off with "I Love Not Loving You," lead singer Shaun Verreault extols the bittersweet virtues of breaking up using his nasal-yet-soulful yowl.
Wide Mouth Mason are full of high-powered, blues-flavoured rock vitriol and while this album isn't any great evolution for them, they're not exactly stagnating. Check the rolling groove of "Wide Eyed" and the sheer hilarity of "Please Go Home," possibly the least cryptic fuck off song ever.
