Let's make it clear: C'Mon on record are vastly different than C'Mon on stage. Where their stage show is a middling mess of distortion and extreme loudness, their records, especially their latest, are coherent, thought out rock assaults.
In The Heat Of The Moment's blazing guitars, pounding drums and crunchy riffs, prove once again why Ian Blurton is such a hot commodity in the indie world. This is C'Mon's best effort to date, mainly because they successfully balance rock excess with contained and catchy songwriting. With its aggressive riffs, beer-swilling rockers will love "Call My Name," but so will Sloan fans — this track could have been written by Patrick Pentland. It's not all sweat and dirt though, there's still plenty of singalong moments for listeners who don't dig getting pummeled.
