Pennywise have always been punk favourites and rightly so — they're one of the few genuine punk bands we've got left. Admirably uncompromising, they've stayed true to their roots for 15 years and have never looked back.
Unfortunately, this means that Pennywise have been releasing the same speedy punk for the majority of their career and it's a shame to see a band with such an overtly subversive message continually release the standard punk formula of super-fast drums and politically-charged vocals. With new groups moving punk into uncharted territory, the old guard is left sounding tired and stale. If Pennywise want to finally start the revolution they sing about, they're going to have to change their tune.
