- "Stupid Question"/"Ancient Times"
- Boppa Do Down
- 4 / 5

This two-song single is the debut release from a new band formed by former members of the Tijuana Bibles, The Leather Uppers, Rise and The Exploders.
Side A's "Stupid Question" is a light-hearted garage rock attack on an unnamed "baby," who asks unnecessary questions like "Will you be true?" Singer/guitarist Craig Daniels suggests such queries are about as useful as a child's jokes. "What did the hippie say to the invisible man?" he asks. The answer: "You're outta sight."
The Bon are comparable to The Famines on that number, though they're a little tidier. Side B's "Ancient Times" is a closer in spirit to White Cowbell Oklahoma, minus a few guitars.
It's only six minutes of music, but it's a fun six minutes. Let's hope it's not long before these guys put out a more substantial release.
