You'd think it would be impossible to sell one more copy of Jagged Little Pill, the CD that marked Alanis' "Morissette" debut 10 years ago. The original album's rock-edged single "You Oughta Know" quickly pegged her as the next angry young singer-songwriter, but Morissette soon earned a new rep as mellow, spiritual and happy. That's the mature artist who revisits her old material here. Luckily, she doesn't take "acoustic" in the boring, MTV Unplugged sense of the word, so instead of a bland coffeehouse set these fully-produced versions bustle with strings and mandolins, organ, piano. She still sounds kinda pissed on "Oughta Know" though.
