Pop-inflected rock is the main fare on Disney Girlz Rock, a new compilation of tunes from Disney features and made-for-TV movies. The disc features Hollywood Records' new crop of pop starlets/actresses such as Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff, as well as decent tunes from Aly & A.J. and Raven-Symone's very cool cover of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition." The inclusion of Christina Aguilera's "Reflections" (from Mulan) obviously capitalizes on her starpower, but it's far too cheesy and dated to fit in with the other tracks. Most of these songs would be pretty forgettable were it not for their appearance in Freaky Friday or The Princess Diaries and Disney hopes 13-year-old girls will keep them alive a little longer.
