- Keep In Mind Frankenstein
- Sub Pop/Outside
- 3.5 / 5

Mat Brooke took a huge risk leaving Band Of Horses just as the group were taking off. But with his re-emergence with Grand Archives, it became clear Brooke was traveling a separate path than his former bandmates.
Keep In Mind Frankenstein finds the band continuing down the path laid out on their debut while honing their skills as pop craftsmen. A lot of bands are exploring the same folk-rock territory as Grand Archives, but few do it with the lush grace of songs like "Witchy Park/Tomorrow Will (Take Care Of Itself)."
The Seattle quartet prove you don't have to reinvent the wheel to step out of the shadow of your former band or your influences. Simply crafting terrific songs is often all you need.
