Hot Chip are an oddity. For one, they have song titles like "Crap Kraft Dinner" and "Hittin Skittles;" second, their music is all laid-back grooves and spacey trip-hop laptop effects; third, their name alone is pretty weird. Still, there's a skilled touch to their rhythms, with no sense of any rough edges or unplanned chaos. "Keep Fallin'" sounds remarkably like an even more stoned-out Spoon. If you're looking for an album to zone out to while indulging in a toke or two, consider the blissful harmonies of these Brits as your lo-fi soundtrack. But in any other event, you might just end up drifting off to sleep.
