Eugene Mirman — God Is A Twelve Year Old Boy With Asperger's

Music Review
Eugene Mirman's God Is A Twelve Year Old Boy With Asperger's

Sub Pop continues its surprisingly nubile comedy output with God Is A Twelve Year Old Boy With Asperger's, the latest slice of un-PC ponderings from Eugene Mirman.

This live set, recorded at Chicago's Lakeshore Theatre in November 2008, sees the New York-based jokester pontificate on a variety of topics including bears in urban areas, technology, Judaism and other newsworthy subject matter.

You'd think Mirman might've been more careful to include more timeless material, as the Obama-fuelled one-liners already seem extremely dated given this late 2009 release. However, the bit about getting raped on an airplane is fun for the whole family, so if you've worn down your David Cross CDs and are looking to extend your alt-comedy repertoire, this album may be worth checking out.
