With only three studio albums under their big-buckled belts, it mustn't have seemed right for this Dave Grohl-endorsed Kentucky quintet to bilk their fans with a full-on live album. This fistful of live tracks, taken from a 2003 Halloween gig, demonstrate that My Morning Jacket’s sound owes just as much to slowcore faves Galaxie 500 as it does to alt.country grandpappy Neil Young. Their sprawling grace sounds great when contained by a studio's walls, but when allowed to unfurl like this, they expand and drift as weightlessly as morning fog. Only one track, the soaring "Golden," from their breakthrough It Still Moves makes its way into the set, but Acoustic Citsuoca's more obscure stuff is the perfect teaser for this lovely little band's equally stellar back catalogue.
