For whatever reason, Supergrass never quite caught on in North America as much as they did in their homeland England. It’s a shame, really. This greatest hits retrospective confirms what the Brits have known for years (10, to be exact): Gaz Coombes, Mickey Quinn and Danny Goffey have a knack for crafting pop-punk anthems with equal measures of infectious melodies and youthful earnestness.
Kicking off with their boisterous first single "Caught By the Fuzz," the disc highlights the band’s finer moments, such as "Alright," "Sun Hits The Sky" and "Pumping On Your Stereo." With 21 tracks spanning their career thus far, Supergrass Is 10 is an excellent primer for those new to the band, a worthwhile collection for casual fans and a must-have for diehard fans hungry for two previously unreleased tracks ("Kiss Of Life" and "Bullet").
