- 4 / 5

The worst part about Watch Out! is that it’s a massive step up from Alexisonfire’s eponymous debut yet, the band are so nonchalant, they probably don’t even realize it. Where most screamo bands will fade into obscurity, this proves that AOF are on the track to forging a scene of their own. More experimental without alienating their inherent style, Watch Out! is a stronger fusion of thunderous metal riffs and throat-tearing vocals with melodic twists and nuances that enhance each song as opposed to making them sound emo-wussy. Dynamic and bold, AOF has found a voice: less irrational scream and more pointed anger mixed with critical opinion and straight-up mosh.
