Dripping with heartfelt sincerity, the latest offering from Mike Feuerstack feels strangely familiar. This isn't to say that The Wooden Stars guitarist is rehashing his past efforts. It's simply that the nine gorgeous compositions on The Silence Show possess a remarkable ability to mirror the deepest thoughts of listeners.
Feuerstack's earnest vocals and contemplative lyrics touch upon so many emotions that it's impossible not to instantly relate to his well-written, intelligent pop tales. Combine this with subtle, yet moving instrumentation and you've got one truly stunning piece of music.
The Silence Show is a superb addition to this horribly underrated Canadian artist's catalogue of acclaimed work.
