Jennifer's Body: Music From The Motion Picture

Jennifer's Body was written by Diablo Cody (Juno) and stars the sexy vixen Megan Fox as a possessed cheerleader, but the soundtrack sounds more like a high schooler's iPod than a horror movie Mecca.

Overall it's pretty poppy, which is understandable considering the film takes place in a high school. Bands like Panic! At The Disco and All Time Low keep it sounding young and relatively innocent, even though the songs have subtle nods to sexuality and bad intentions.

White Lies' "Death," The Sword's "Celestial Clown" and Silversun Pickups' "Little Lover's So Polite" provide a glimmer of darkness, but not enough to make up for the soundtrack I was expecting. Standouts include Low Shoulder's "Through The Trees" and Lissy Trullie's "Ready For The Floor." I

It's not at all the blood 'n' satan fest you'd imagine, but it's still a fun high school soundtrack.
