Tommy Lee — Never A Dull Moment

Poor Tommy Lee. Motley Crue never let him show the extent of his talents. The result — Methods Of Mayhem. And we all know how poopy that experiment was. Now comes the album that Tommy was always supposed to make on his own. Granted, Lee's a seasoned musician and knows how to put together a good rock track with a solid rhythm section. A song like "Sunday" should keep devoted rockers head banging for days. It's gnarly, dude.
But not even the always-winning addition of Deftones' Chino Moreno can make "Ashamed" a great tune. It's kinda pretty with the strings, but once Lee gets in his awful "yeah yeah yeahs" you'll be screaming for blue muder. The foundation is all good on Never A Dull Moment, but the prettying up of extras and his push to make everything so badass and over-the-top just borders on lame. Plus, Tommy, you just suck at singing. And stop rapping for fuck sakes, dude!
