What do you do if you’re a member of one of the most popular rock bands in recent memory? Well, if you’re Tom DeLonge, frontman of SoCal punkers Blink-182, you start another band. Box Car Racer is made up of DeLonge on bass and guitar and fellow Blink member Travis Barker on drums. The music isn’t that far off from what Blink has been recording, save for the complete lack of toilet humour. Think of Blink-182 meets some sensitive kids on the street (say The Get-Up Kids) and perhaps this is the result. Sure, there are heavier moments, but they usually last a few bars before the crappy acoustic guitars kick in again.
