For anyone who was wondering just how well Queens Of The Stone Age would fare without Josh Homme’s longtime buddy and bassist Nick Olivieri... you’ve got your answer. It’s the saddest state of affairs since Iggy Pop thought Peaches and Sum 41 collaborations were good ideas. Beyond blasé, this album lacks any semblance of testosterone, fire or point.
Lullabies To Paralyze is the epitome of soulless meandering. Virtually every one of these 14 tracks plods along without the solid riff-heavy backbone we’ve come to love and expect from this band, leaving nothing but a bad taste and a horrible end to a once-dominant rock ‘n’ roll force.
