Broadway Calls — Good Views, Bad News

Once upon a time, a strand of melodic pop-punk existed that wasn't about farts or sex, but about damn good catchy songs that balanced melody and rhythm with choruses you could sing along to.
Good Views, Bad News, Broadway Calls' third release and first off SideOneDummy Records, is proof this extremely amazing, but often underrated division of punk rock still exists. The record was produced by Descendents drummer Bill Stevenson (Propagandhi, Rise Against, NOFX), and features 111-tracks of summer anthems that boast elements of The Ataris, Jawbreaker and Green Day. It's easily their best work to date and shows their excessive touring and hard work has paid off.
The lyrics, rhythms and guitar riffs create songs that lend themselves easily to summer festivals and road trips from opening track "Midnight Hour" to "Tonight's Alive" and "To The Sheets." It closes with ballad "At The End," which shows how developed their music has truly become.
This record is such a step up for the band it's hard to believe it's the same guys that produced their previous mediocre records. With such heart and passion, there's no doubt this will be the album that makes them a household name.
