- No Wow
- RCA/Sony BMG
- 3.5 / 5

No Wow starts out so unpromisingly that it comes as quite a shock The Kills manage to pull off a pretty good album. The opening title track, which sounds like a female-led Rammstein, screams mediocre. Thankfully, the rest of the record is anything but. By the time the band get around to the epic two-part "I Hate The Way You Love," singer Alison Mosshart's velvety, disaffected vocals and Jamie Hince's powerful beats will have you in the palm of their hands. It takes a couple listens to fully grasp the intricacies of No Wow, but rest assured, it's worth the effort.
