Bilking their tragically comedic career for all it’s worth, Motley Crue release yet another greatest hits package with Red, White & Crue. This two-CD set repackages the strongest (not necessarily "best") material from each of their eight studio albums, even including the John Corabi years and new cuts "If I Die Tomorrow," "Sick Love Song" and a cover of the Stones’ "Street Fighting Man."
This release, more than anything, should make the listener realize just how much Motley Crue suck. They only have two solid tracks ("Live Wire" and "Kickstart My Heart"), while the rest is fodder for the kitsch cannon with goofy lyrics, thin production and KISS-ish amateur wankery. In short, it’s every strip joint classic that the four goons could muster on one beer bong-inducing collection. But that’s why it’s awesome. Indulgence in pointless, barbaric crap is always entertaining.
