3 Doors Down — Seventeen Days
- Seventeen Days
- Universal
- 1 / 5

The third album from 3 Doors Down begins with "Right Where I Belong," a short blast of punkish energy that brings with it hope that the Biloxi, Mississippi rockers have expanded on the post-grunge formula of their previous releases. That hope is painfully short-lived, as the rest of Seventeen Days is essentially one long power ballad made up of interchangeable parts.
3 Doors Down have two speeds — snail and tortoise — and the lyrics are made up entirely of cliched imagery drawn from equally mundane sources. There’s some "blood on my hands" here, some "live for today" there, but there’s scarcely an original thought on the entire record. This might be forgivable if the tunes were played with any conviction, but the listless delivery of singer Brad Arnold and his mates suggests that 3 Doors Down have actually bored themselves to sleep.
