Morristown, New Jersey isn't exactly the most rock ‘n’ roll city in the world, but as Pete Yorn's hometown, where better a place to record a live album? Amidst the occasional female shriek of "Pete!" Yorn puts on a lengthy and charismatic show worthy of the two discs it fills. "Carlos (Don't Let It Go To Your Head)" is a swaggering rock tune perfectly balanced out by the more folky roots-rock tracks, like the sweet piano-laden "Lose You." As with most live albums, it’ll be hard for newcomers to get into Live In New Jersey, but those who already love Yorn's work should be running to pick this up.
