This compelling anthology, compiled by Spin writer Sean Manning, is a perfect casual reader. The stories, written by the likes of The New Pornographers' Carl Newman, The Believer magazine editor Heidi Julavits and Lemony Snicket's Daniel Handler, recount each scribe's favourite concert experience. The tales use superb detail to reveal what it was like to see the first Rolling Stones show in New York or The Beatles when girls couldn't stop screaming for them.
