There’s nothing more humiliating for a 24-year-old man than to admit he finds a band of preteen sisters funky. Smoosh will no doubt win secret admirers the same way Hanson did. Some people found it hard to admit how much they loved "Mmmmbop" but, truth is, there’s something innocent and exciting about high-pitched, bouncy youth pop. The duo, featuring 12-year-old Asya (vocals, keyboard) and 10-year-old Chloe (drums), combine the pop with indie rock. They have shared the stage with fellow Seattle girl rockers Sleater-Kinney and once they grow up and discover teen angst, they might sound like them too.
