If Blue Rodeo are looking for a band to take their headlining slot at The Stardust Picnic then they should be ringing up The Northern Pikes to reunite every year. This live record is relaxing acoustic fare, with the band stripping away all pretenses and pressures. You're a fool if you're thinking that there has to be a "Teenland" performed live here. Negative on that. The Pikes just prefered to use some of the slower, starry midnight songs that turned out pretty crisp and clean live. They might not have some of that upbeat catchy appeal anymore, but there sure know how to ease your troubled mind.
