Though most walked into Alpha Dog to see Justin Timberlake, the flawed though enjoyable film offers a lot more than the pop star. Based on the true story of Jesse James Hollywood, Alpha Dog is a tale about the excesses of privileged youth, despite director Nick Cassavetes' attempt to make it a real-crime thriller. Supporting players Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone, as well as surprisingly good lead performances from Timberlake and Emile Hirsch, make this worth watching.
