Refusing to let down their throngs of intelligent, politically-oriented punk rockers, Winnipeg's Propagandhi hit a relentless stride with Potemkin City Limits that only serves to feed their mystique. Naturally, there's nothing overtly surprising with this effort — the band maintain their primary focus on thought-provoking social commentary delivered through a hybrid of hardcore-meets-SoCal punk rock that is as communicable as hepatitis yet far more enjoyable. As usual, this disc is full of anger, but Propaghandi thankfully don't reach the point of venom, which would only sully their intellectually challenging viewpoints. Potemkin City Limits tells listeners to better themselves over a fast, aggressive backbone peppered with dynamic breakdowns and passages. These 12 songs fucking rip while teaching you a thing or two in the process.
