Glastonbury's History On DVD

DVD Review
If Glastonbury organizer Michael Eavis is trying to curb attendance, Julien Temple's documentary should do the trick. The hooliganism, rain, militaristic security measures and overall filth make the festival seem like three days in a maximum-security prison. Don't mistake it for a concert film, because most of the bands are seen in snippets, lest they detract from the depressing narrative. Sadly, while Eavis gives Temple's crew full access, they never really paint a clear portrait of the event's lightning rod host.
