It seems like every band on the planet have a CD/DVD release this fall, and while some are hastily assembled packages, QOTSA's Over The Years And Through The Woods is anything but. The CD features a 74-minute live show, with the band tackling a pile of classics, such as "Regular John" and "Mexicola," and a smattering of new tracks and b-sides, notably Desert Sessions standout, "I Wanna Make It Wit Chu."
But it's the DVD that makes the package truly worth its weight. In addition to an extended version of the CD's show, the band dig into their archives and provide live footage from every major juncture in their career, dating back to a sparsely attended gig that took place shortly after their excellent self-titled debut was released.
If you're a QOTSA fan, this is a must, must-have.
